The judge in Texas ordered 24-year-old Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan to be held without bond as he faces charges of trying to provide support to the Islamic State group.

Al Hardan, who speaks Arabic and used an interpreter in court, said he lives in a Houston-area apartment, is married and has a child. He said he earns about $1,800 per month, but did not say his occupation.

He is Palestinian, born in Iraq, according to investigators.

Aws Mohammed Younis Al- Jayab

The initial suspect arrested in Sacramento is 23-year-old Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab. The criminal complaint, filed by the Office of the United States Attorney Eastern District of California says he was born in Iraq, and he emigrated from Syria to the United States as a refugee in October 2012.
The complaint says after arriving in the United States as a refugee in October 2012, Al-Jayab resided in Tucson, Arizona and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Travel, bank and electronic communications records show he lived in Milwaukee in early November 2013.
He was arrested (Thursday, January 7th) on a federal charge of making a false statement involving international terrorism. Aws Mohammed Younis Al-Jayab, 23, is charged in a criminal complaint that was unsealed (Thursday, January 7th) in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California following his arrest. He is in custody and will be making an initial appearance Friday (January 8th) in federal court in Sacramento at 2:00 p.m.

He first began to reside in Sacramento upon his return from Syria in late January 2014.

"Hamzeh's parents have been coming to the United States since 1987. Samy Hamzeh was born in 1992, and the family moved back and forth between Jordan and the U.S., his mother said.

After finishing high school in Jordan, Samy Hamzeh completed a nine-month program in "airport management and aviation science" at University of Jordan. He wanted to come to the U.S. to continue his education. Around 2011, his parents let him leave Jordan to live with a friend and the friend's father in Chicago. That lasted only a few months because Samy didn't want to live with them anymore.

The Hamzehs had friends in Milwaukee who offered to let Samy Hamzeh stay with them. He did, for a few months, until he got his own place.

Mawla met him while working at Casablanca, and said Hamzeh was always joking around. He liked to smoke marijuana, but never drank. They played soccer and hung out on E. Brady St. at Rochambo Coffee & Teahouse."

--- So he graduated from avaation course in Jordan - has been coming to the USA from Jordan off and on, and "flew" completely under FBI radar. According to local sources, it was an acquaintance of Samy Mohamed's who tipped off the FBI in September of 2015, which then cause the FBI to investigate him.
